If you follow along with me on instagram or facebook, then you know that I was at SNAP! last weekend. I thought I’d write up a recap of things that I thought I would be fun to share with you.
Some of you might be wondering why one would pay a good chunk of money for a ticket to a blogging conference, along with paying for a hotel room, and in my case, going shopping for some new clothes (I don’t think I’ve shopped like that since I’ve been married!), and some attendees even bought plane tickets along with the rest of that stuff. Lucky for me, it was close to home, so I didn’t have to buy a plane ticket.
One of the fun things they did this year was have a door decorating contest. There were 6 girls in our room, and Shannon came up with this great idea for the SNAP 2013 Yearbook for our door. Isn’t it fun!?! The other girls that were in our room were Summer, Katie, Melissa, and Becky. I so enjoyed getting to know these girls better!
I have lots of pictures to share with you. This is one of the cute shirts that I got. I found this one at The Chic Orchid. Tam has the cutest clothes that she sells and I think the prices are pretty reasonable. I’ve gotten several items from her that I love.
On Thursday night they had a pajama party. Me and a couple of roommates got our pajamas on then headed around the hotel to see the doors decorated for the contest. There were several photo booth doors, but this one was my favorite. All those tools are paper!
When you shop at Payless and Target, you are bound to find “twins” at a conference like this. 🙂 My friend Amy from Ameroonie Designs and I had the same shoes.
Michelle from The Ribbon Retreat and I had the same shirt.
Dinner on Friday night was sponsored by Cricut. I knew that the tables would be awesome if Cricut was decorating, and they did not disappoint! I love all these flowers.
After dinner was the Queen Bee Market. I picked up a couple of charms for a necklace from The R House Couture. If you ever have the chance to go to a Queen Bee Market, I highly recommend it.
The conference was held at the beautiful Thanksgiving Point. I have a pass to Thanksgiving Point so I’m excited to be able to go back and take my kids and show them some of the new things that I learned while I was there.
Saturday night the closing keynote speaker was Julie de Azevedo Hanks, and oh.my.gosh! I think that was my favorite part of the whole conference. This is one of the quotes that she shared, and boy did I need to hear it!
She also sings, and she sang a song for us that night as well. It was wonderful!
I learned so many new things about blogging and I really hope I can improve this blog and make it better for all those that enjoy reading it.
