When I wrote the recap post all about the baby shower that I threw for my sister, I forgot to include the invitation. I had so much fin designing this invitation! Shortly before I designed it, I learned about the world of using dingbats. I’ve always known about them, I just didn’t think about using them as shapes and designs, I just thought of them as fonts. Dingbats have pretty much changed my life! Ok, maybe not my life, but they are awesome! 🙂 One of these days I’ll have to do a post and share all about my favorite fonts and dingbats.
Once I knew what the colors the invite needed to be, I got to work playing around in Photoshop Elements.
I used a digital scrapbook paper that I have for the pink portion. I added gray rectangles and everything else are dingbats or fonts. I originally wanted to have these printed at vistaprint or something like that, and print a design on the back, but I didn’t have time to do that, so I ended up just printing them at Costco. That always works great too.
Have you ever designed a fun digital invitation/announcement? There are so many possibilities when you are working with digital.
