It’s A Girl Baby Shower

Over the weekend I had the chance to throw a baby shower for my little sister. I was SO excited to put this shower together, because she is having a GIRL!! You see, my parents have (or will have soon) 16 grandkids. The baby my sister is expecting is only the 2nd girl!  So we’ll take all the girls we can get. 🙂
When I decided that I was going to be throwing this girl baby shower, I started creating fun decorations right away!  One of the first things I did was to make this arrow.  Of all the arrow signs that I’ve made, this one if my favorite!  Here is a link to see how I made it.

Oh the diaper cake!  When you have gray and light pink to work with, it just makes everything more fun! Here is a tutorial on how I made it.

This is a paper garland that I made by sewing paper circles together.  It was so hard to get a good picture of.  That is my adorable sister there on the right. 🙂

These are the embossed napkins!  I was so excited that these turned out.  Aren’t they fun!? Learn how easy they are you make here. embossed-napkins-cuttlebug-baby-showerThese are little bags that are filled with pink vanilla chocolate covered popcorn.  I love the cute pink striped washi tape I found and used on these.

This is the self binding baby blanket that I made for my sister.  She picked out the minky and I think it is completely adorable! See the tutorial for the blanket here.

Overall the shower went well after we finally got there.  My youngest sister and I were riding together, and the vehicle that we were driving died on us.  We got to push it through a huge intersection, and then we waited for a ride.  I’m just glad we made it there in time to get the decorations put up! 🙂  It turned out to be a really fun shower.
I’ll be sharing more details about each part of the baby shower over the next few weeks, so watch for that!

Great decorations! I’m pinning your ideas for future reference. Thank you.
My favorites are the embossed napkins.
Did you do these or did you purchase them embossed?
