The last week or two, I’ve been thinking a lot about what I’m going to do with my kids home this summer. Every year, I think I’ll use a schedule and do something fun everyday, and then summer comes, and it seems like we end up sitting at home in our pajamas all day. I’m working on it though, and this week for the features from The Creative Exchange Party, I thought I’d round up Five Ideas for Surviving Summer, and being ready to have fun with your kids.
I love the idea of a summer schedule! Liz on Call shared this one. I’m going to print this out, to help keep the kids excited and motivated, and to also help me stick to doing fun activities with the boys.
My boys would love to make personalized bags that they could use this summer for the Splash Pad or Library. I love this tutorial on how to do it, over at Artsy-Fartsy Mama.
With summer here, the kids will be wanting to ride their bikes. If you have any that the seats are worn out, then The Crafty Blog Stalker has the perfect fix for it!
I love taking my kids out for picnics, but it always seems like SO much work. The simple tips that Confetti Sunshine shares, makes it sound so easy and doable! I can’t wait to take my kids on a picnic this summer now.
Don’t forget to have your Grab & Go Summer Fun Bag ready. Drinks, snacks, sunscreen, towels, and anything else you might think of. Have it packed and ready to grab when you decide to head out the door.
What are some fun ways that you prepare for Summer. I love having my kids home for the summer, but it seems like after about a week, they are fighting and bored. I’m aiming for less boredom this summer, but that doesn’t mean it has to cost a lot either. 🙂

Thanks for featuring my printable summer schedule! We are excited to use it and I’m hoping to stick with it! 🙂
