When was the last time you sat down to make a card? For me, it’s been a while. When Stampin’ Up! sent me these fun supplies, I knew I needed to sit down a make a card or two! Because I have such a love of banners, that is the direction that I decided to go with this Valentine’s Day Card.
These are most of the supplies I ended up using. However, I decided to not use the red or the gray inks, and ended up using Coastal Cabana and Night of Navy instead.
I’ve been having so much fun using Framelits. It is fun to be able to stamp an image and then simply cut it out!
I stamped my image onto a scrap piece of cardstock and then used the framelit to cut it out.
I also cut some plain cardstock using the framelit as well. I put the banner pieces down on the card, and figured out the placement for them, and then I adhered them. I added a little knotted ribbon to the top of the stamped banner piece. Once I had those on the card, I stamped the You & Me and heart onto cardstock and then hand cut these. I used dimension squares under the & image to make it pop!
When I was making this card, my focus was to make something I could give to my husband. I tried to use colors that were a little more masculine, but still looks valentine-ish. I really adore the way it turned out. If you want to make a card like this too, here is a supply list of the things you’ll need.
