Hello Summer!!! My boys get out of school today, and I’m so excited about it. I’m looking forward to not having to drag my kids out of bed in the mornings, and doing some fun things with them. I really wanted to have an end of the school year party, but I didn’t quite get to it. I did decide to at least put together a SUMMER Banner to welcome them home from school with. This banner was so fast to put together, it even surprised me. But with it being the end of the school year, I haven’t had a lot of time to create anyway, so I needed a fast project!

I gathered my supplies, which included:
Find the letters of the word you want to spell. FYI, if you want to spell a word that has more than one of the same letter, you’ll need two packs of the letters. Cut your foil to be larger than the size of the letters. Place letters and foil in the transfer folder.
Using the setting recommend on the back of the alphabet package, set your Minc. Once the Minc is warm, put your transfer folder through the machine.
And before you know it, you’ll have these shiny, bright letters.
Grab some baker’s twine and mini clothes pins.
And clip your twine to the top of the letters with the clothes pins.
And you’ve got your simple 10-minute Summer Banner finished.
I can’t wait for my boys to see this when they get home from school today! They are going to be so excited! We’ll be able to grab our Grab-n-Go Summer Fun Bag, and we’ll be off!
Do you put up a banner or something else for the last day of school? I’d love to know what you do for the last day of school.
