Hi friends! I feel like it’s been forever since I’ve been here sharing a project with you! Between moving, pregnancy and the sickness that I’m still having with it, and the holidays, creating has kind of fell by the way side. In fact, this New Year’s Eve Hourly Countdown is one that I made last year and shared on the Core’dinations blog. I’m sharing it here today, and it really is an easy project and my boys have already been asking if we are going to do this countdown this year.

Supplies needed for this project are:
- Gift Bag Punch Board
- White Heavyweight Cardstock
- Glitter Silk Cardstock
- Jute Twine
- Mini Clothes Pins
- Adhesive
- Cricut Explore
I grabbed the white cardstock and decided how big I wanted each of my little bags, and followed the directions on the Gift Bag Punch Board.
Once I had my bags punched out, I used my adhesive to glue them together.
This is what your bag will look like once it’s put together.
Using the Glittersilk Cardstock and my Cricut Explore, I cut out the numbers that I wanted to put on the front of my mini bags.
I used my adhesive on the backs of the numbers and placed them on the front of the bags.
I cut some strips of paper and wrote some simple activities on them that we could do each hour counting down to midnight, then placed one in each bag.
Then I used the jute twine and mini clothes pins to hang the bags.
You could even do this without hanging the bags, if you have a place to set them out. My boys think this is one of the most fun things to do for New Year’s Eve. Since moving, I’ve got to find our New Year’s Eve stuff so I can do some activities with the boys this year.
Do you have fun activities or traditions that you do for New Year’s Eve? I’d love to hear about them.
