I’ve had the itch to create some new Valentine decor this year, but I haven’t gotten around to creating much. If you follow me on Instagram then you might know I’ve been working hard on decluttering my craft room, and getting it more organized and rearranged. I think I’m finally about done with it (and totally loving the refreshed feeling!), and I’ll be sharing it here on the blog next week. Anyway, I did get a few minutes to make this cute little banner a couple of days ago. And when I say a few minutes, I mean it. I had this thing all make and hung up in less than 30 minutes. This Mini Envelope Valentine Banner is so quick & easy, and I think it turned out so cute!

Mini Envelope Valentine Banner Supplies:
- 1-2-3 Punch Board
- Cardstock (in Valentine colors)
- Baker’s Twine
- Glue Dots
- Puffy Heart Stickers
I was originally going to use plain cardstock for all of these cute envelopes, and when I went to pull out the paper for it, I remembered I had some of this patterned paper, and I knew it would make cute envelopes, so that’s what I used.
Once I had all of my supplies together, I checked the punch board to see what size I needed to trim my paper to. I was making the envelopes that are 2 1/2 x 3 1/2, so I needed to cut my paper down to 5 1/2″ squares.
I trimmed all of my paper down to size.
Then I followed the instructions on the punch board. I started by lining up the edge with the 2 3/8″ mark.
Once I got all done with the first envelope, it looked like this. I folded each of the scored lines.
Then I folded the two smaller sides in, and placed glue dots on them.
Then I folded up the bottom to attach it to the glue dots.
I left the top open for now, because that is how I will attach the baker’s twine. I did add the “stamp” heart to the front of the envelope though.
Once I had all of my envelopes made, I decided which ones would be showing the back and which would show the front, and lined them up in the color order that I wanted. I placed the baker’s twine into the fold at the top and added some glue dots.
I folded it down over the twine. Once it was secure and if it was an envelope with the back showing, I added a puffy heart sticker to the back.
And that was it! This cute little banner came together so quickly! I actually was kind of wishing that I could have made the envelopes just a little smaller, but it wouldn’t work. Now that I have it all done, I really love the size that these envelopes turned out to be.
When I was making it, I knew I’d be hanging it in my kitchen on this cute window. I think I might start hanging banners here all the time, for all the different holidays and seasons. I kind of love it!
The little hearts add the perfect finishing touch, don’t you think?
Where in your home would you hang a fun little Mini Envelope Valentine Banner like this?
I’m still hoping to make at least one more Valentine decor piece for my living room shelf, but we’ll see if I get that done. 🙂 If you are looking for some fun Valentine ideas for kids to hand out in their classes, check out these fun ideas.
