Summer break is in full swing at our house. We are all trying to make the adjustment of the kids being in school everyday to being at home. It’s been an adjustment for me and the kids. We’ve resorted to some of the kids writing sentences when they disobey. So far, the sentence writing seems to be working well. They don’t like to do it, so I think that helps them think about their actions before doing something that will result in writing sentences. We also use these summer checklists, and those seem to help (most days) with the kids staying on task and not just letting the day get away from them. Anyway, today I wanted to pop in and share this I Wake Up Awesome Toddler Shirt with you. A few weeks ago, I whipped up several shirts for my little toddler, and this was one of them. I’m hoping to get the others shared fairly soon, but the way this summer is going, I haven’t been on the computer as much, so we will see how that goes. 😉

I Wake Up Awesome Toddler Shirt Supplies:
- Cricut Maker or Cricut Explore Air 2
- Cricut EasyPress 2 (small size)
- Cricut EasyPress Mat
- White & Yellow HTV Vinyl
- Weeding Tools
- Children’s T-Shirt (I found mine at Hobby Lobby)
- Cricut Design Space Cut File
I found this fun design in Cricut Design Space (included with Cricut Access) and adjusted the colors to be what I needed.
I placed my HTV face down on the cutting mat. Because the pieces of HTV that I was using were small, I just put one on each corner, so when the first cut was done, I just flipped my mat around. This worked great for this project.
Once off the mat, I used the weeding hook to get all the unneeded parts out of it.
I preheated the EasyPress to the suggested setting.
I pressed the yellow design on first, followed by the white design, making sure that the entire design was covered when heat was applied. Then I peeled up the carrier sheet.
My toddler loves his new I Wake Up Awesome Toddler Shirt and and I love it too! The yellow and white really pop on the blue.
Do you have a little one that would love to wear this shirt too?
It’s perfect for the summertime!
