Today I’m sharing a couple of simple projects with you.
The first one is a Let it Snow banner. I knew I wanted to make one, and before I got it made, I had the thought that I should make a Snowflake garland. I ended up making the garland first, and the banner second. I’ll talk about the garland in a minute.
For this banner, I picked out 9 different snowflakes on the Winter Lace Cricut cartridge. Using my Cricut, I cut them out with white cardstock and then I cut the background for them with winter patterned paper.
For all of the letters I used the Winter Woodland cartridge. Isn’t it just perfect for a Let it SNOW banner?! I love it.
Once I had all the snowflakes put together, I put the letters on using dimension squares.
I punched a little hole in the top of each snowflake and used baker’s twine to put the banner together. Then it was ready to hang up.
I jumped on Cricut Craft Room and found the snowflakes I wanted to use. I was able to fit 32 of them on a 12×12 sheet, and cut them out with my Cricut Expression. Then I headed in the other room to sew them together. Well, I got them all sewn together and they were way.too.long to hang from my shelf. I decided that I would just put them up on the wall and put my Let it SNOW banner below it. It worked out ok, don’t you think?
I love how simple this was to put together, and it’s such a fun thing to look at! Maybe I need to make one for every holiday and season. 🙂
I hope you are enjoying seeing the winter decor that I have. I wait until February to get out any Valentines Decor, because we have a birthday in our house the last day of January. I figure since I decorate for birthdays, that that is a good time to change the decor around.

Love this Amy! You have the most fun Cricut cartridges. 🙂 Where do you usually buy them from??
This is so pretty! I love the cartridge choices and how you put everything together!
Thanks for sharing,

I have that cartridge but have only used it once. Totally want to change that now. Very cute!

How did you tie the bakers string on the snow flakes? I find if I punch only one hole in a design they all slide down to the middle of the string? Thanks!
I’m not 100% sure, because I’m just looking at the pictures, but I think I did slip knots. If I remember right, it was kind of a pain because I had to put the whole banner through the loop for the knots. But I wanted them to hang straight, and I didn’t want them sliding around. I hope that helps. 🙂 Good Luck!
were can i get the svg in the cricut design space is no were to be found
Hi Michelle,
This project was made before I started using Design Space, so I don’t have the Design Space File for it. You would be able to search for the designs within Design Space. The cartridges used for this are Winter Lace and Winter Woodland.
