Are you always looking for the perfect baby gift? Do you have a friend expecting for the first time? This One Hour Diaper Cake Gift is the perfect First Time Mom Gift. I’ve shared how to make the Perfect Diaper Cake before, but if you’ve ever made one like that, you know they take a lot longer than an hour! I’m excited to share this One Hour Diaper Cake with you.
While I’m not a first time mom, I recently had a baby last month. While we were in the hospital, we used Huggies diapers and I loved them. I’ve had four other babies through the last several years, and while I’ve used Huggies at the hospital with all of them, I never used them at home. This time around, I’m hooked on using Huggies! I love how absorbent these diapers are! My baby has already been sleeping through the night, and I know I don’t have to worry about his diaper leaking while he sleeps. They absorb quickly, have triple layer protection to help stop leaks and last up to 12 hours.
Not only am I sharing why I love Huggies Snug & Dry Diapers today, but I’m sharing how to make this Quick & Easy Diaper Cake, taking an hour or less, and it’s perfect for a First Time Mom Gift.
You’ll need:
- 1 package (size 1) Huggies Snug & Dry Diapers (I picked mine up while I was grocery shopping at my local Smith’s/Kroger store. I love that I don’t have to make a trip some where else to get diapers!)
- Baker’s Twine
- Patterned Paper
- Ribbon
- Scissors
You’ll open your package of diapers and pull all the diapers out. Take one diaper and roll it up, starting on the folded end.
Then roll a second diaper around it. Continue until you’ve rolled five diapers, creating the center of your bottom tier.
Once you have the five rolled together, use some baker’s twine to tie it, securing it together.
Now you’ll take a stack of 17 diapers and fan them out around the center. You may need some additional hands for this part, holding the diapers while you tie the baker’s twine.
Then tie it with some baker’s twine.
Create two more tiers. The middle tier uses three diapers to create the center and 13 diapers around it. The top tier uses six diapers. To create the top, just roll six diapers. That tier doesn’t need a center.
This is what it looks like once you have all the diapers put together.
Cut your paper into 2″ wide strips. Wrap it around and secure it around the diapers. For the larger tiers, connect two or more papers together so it will wrap around.
Tie a ribbon around each tier.
Stack your diaper cake up and you’re finished. Isn’t it so cute?! I don’t know any new mom that would like this as a baby gift. It’s cute, useful and it’s diapers.
While I’ve never received a diaper cake as a baby gift, I know I’d love it! Since diapers are a must have with a new baby, you can’t go wrong with giving diapers as a first time mom gift. This diaper cake only uses one package of diapers, and takes a little time to make it look cute. I know I’d sure love to receive a diaper cake made with Huggies Snug & Dry diapers.
