Before we moved into our new home, I had my living room gallery wall at our old home and I LOVED it. BUT, after I posted about it, we purchased a new TV and part of the wall got covered by said TV. There wasn’t a lot of room to be able to move or expand the gallery wall, and it worked fine while we were in that home. Now that we are in our own larger home, I get to decorate more, and I’m LOVING it!! 🙂
I loved the old gallery wall so much that I kept almost everything the same and added more to it. I added the frame on the right, with the four slots. It had been in my living room previously, but now I had the space to add it to the gallery wall. I need to get me a new frame like that though, since I had another little boy. 🙂 I also picked up a number 7 to change our for the 6. I took these pictures before I realized that I needed the frame and number. I can’t wait to get them all done and painted though.
I also added the yellow clock. I like what it adds to the space. I do have two clocks on the wall now, but I like it so oh well. 😉
In our old home I had my cedar chest in my bedroom. I figured that is where I’d always have it. So when we moved in, I had my husband and his brother put the cedar chest in my bedroom. It is SO full of stuff, and really heavy, but they carried it up the stairs. Well, then I decided that it would look amazing under this gallery wall in the living room, so a couple of weeks ago, I had them haul it back down the stairs. My husband is such a good sport, doing crazy things like that for me. While I have a mix of wood finishes in this space, I love it!
The final addition to this wall was my Last Name Sign that I shared a few days ago. I love how the white paint just pops on the stained board. If you want to make your own, check out the tutorial for it.
And that is my gallery wall in our new home. If you’d like to see the rest of the living room, then come on back next week. I’ll be sharing the entire room! Is it bad that I’m excited to live in a home that makes me want to share entire rooms? We were so cramped living in the last home that it was always cluttered and hard to take pictures of entire rooms.
So tell me, what is your favorite part of my living room gallery wall?
