Before we moved, our bedroom was so cramped that we really didn’t decorate it. Since moving, I’ve been itching to decorate our master bedroom. I’ve hung a few pictures on the walls (they were in storage for 7 years), and decorated a little bit, but it wasn’t really the decor I was going for. Well, I had a post coming up that I needed to do for the Pebbles blog, and I was so excited when I looked through the Jen Hadfield Everyday collection to find just the colors I needed. I decided that I wanted to create decor using our initials (Tom & Amy). So, here is my Master Bedroom Wall Decor that I’m sharing with you today.

For this project you’ll need:
- Wood cut letters. I cut my own out of 1/4″ MDF using my Rockwell BladeRunner.
- Jen Hadfield Everyday Collection Paper
- White Paint
- Sponge Brush
- Wood Glue
- Command Strips
- Banner Punch Board
- Baker’s Twine
- Scissors
- Pencil
- Cricut Explore
I started by cutting my letters and ampersand out of cardstock, using my Cricut Explore. Once I had those cut, I traced them onto my 1/4 MDF, then used my Rockwell Bladerunner to cut the letters and ampersand out of the wood.
Next, I traced the wood onto my patterned paper and cut it out.
I painted the edges of the wood white and let it dry.
Using the wood glue, I put some on the letters. I spread it out evenly with a sponge brush.
I put my paper on and smoothed it out well.
I grabbed the paper I had left from tracing the letters and ampersand, and I cut some small triangles out using the Banner Punch Board.
Once I had them all cut out, and the holes punched in the top, I strung the baker’s twine through all the holes.
I grabbed my Command Strips and headed to my bedroom. I love that with Command strips, I can get things hung in the perfect spot, and don’t have to worry about hammering holes into the wall!
I originally wasn’t going to make the banner, but I’m so glad I did! I think it all goes so well together! Plus, it makes me happy to see this above my bed!
I especially love it when I take the time to make my bed, and have my “I love us” pillow on the bed as well.
So what do you think? What do you have on the wall in your master bedroom?
