I have a confession. I like to buy projects and supplies one year, and then they sit. Sometimes they sit for a year or two before I actually get them made and finished. It’s not like I buy them three days before the holiday that they are for, I give myself plenty of time, but I just don’t get them done. That is kind of what happened with this Thanksgiving Gather Letter Set. I bought it a year or two ago, intending to finish it. I even traced and cut out some paper for it, and then it didn’t get finished. I decided that this was the year I was going to make it happen. I did pick out some new paper to use for it though.

Thanksgiving Gather Letter Set Supplies:
- Gather Letter Set (I got mine from The Wood Connection)
- Fall Paper
- Brown Paint
- Wood Glue
- Sponge Paint Brush
- Pencil
- Scissors
- Ribbon
- Jute Twine
- Woven Jute Ribbon
Turn your letters face down on the back of their paper and trace them using your pencil.
Cut out your letters using your scissors. I love these little scissors, because they make it easy to get into little corners on these letters.
Paint the back and sides of your letters with the brown paint using your paint brush.
Using the wood glue, put some on the front of the letters, spread it evenly and place your letters down on the wood. Smooth it out well, getting any air bubbles out.
Add your ribbon to your letters.
That’s it! You’re finished with your project. It really doesn’t take too long to finish, so I’m still trying to figure out why it’s taken me a year or two. 😉
I’m excited to have it out for Thanksgiving this year though. I finished these fun little pumpkins to go along with it. Watch for a post coming about those soon!
