Did you guys enjoy seeing the Heart Eyes Emoji Valentine Box? It’s such a fun box and so easy to put together. This Giant Dice Valentine Box is probably even easier than the Emoji box to make. I was glad last year when all of my boys picked pretty simple boxes to make. When I was a kid, we never had to decorate our own boxes at home and bring them to school for valentine’s day. My husband did, but at my elementary school, our teachers would help us all make a large envelope out of butcher paper, and everyone would get to decorate their envelope during school. Then we’d use them for Valentine’s day. I thought it was great! When we had kids that were old enough to need a Valentine box, I was surprise that we had to make it at home. Maybe that’s why I don’t really enjoy the whole process and I just want to get the boxes made and done as fast as possible. One year we found some shoe boxes to use, and they got covered in duck tape. We’ve also used tissue boxes. They both worked great. For this box, however, we actually went to Walmart and purchased a box the size we wanted.

When we decided to how make this Giant Dice Valentine Box, we thought it would be easy to use the cardstock paper that I already had. We purchased a 12 x 12 x 12 box from Walmart, picked out our cardstock colors, and also grabbed some black cardstock for the dots. We used a 1.75″ circle punch for the dots, and just used packing tape to attach it all. In the pictures, it shows a lot of glare, but in real life, it doesn’t glare much at all! We cut a hole in the top around the single dot and that is where the Valentine’s can be placed inside. We used a little bit of tape to reinforce the hole so it could handle having the opened and closed a bunch.
My son wanted his Giant Dice Valentine Box to be colorful, so he picked a different color for each side. This is the other side of it.
