I don’t know if you are like me, but I always have good intentions of getting things done early, and then it just doesn’t happen. Last year, we needed to make Valentine boxes for three of my boys. We were making those boxes the night before. That’s just how it happens at our house. Anyone else? Since I didn’t get the boxes done until the night before last year, I decided they’d be a great thing to share on the blog this year. I guess you could look at it as I’m just working really far ahead…or I’m really behind. Either way, it’s real life, and it happens quite often around here. 😉 Anyway, today I’m sharing this super easy and simple Heart Eyes Emoji Valentine Box with you. Last year, one of my boys was totally into emojis. He had to do 100 things for the 100th day of school, and we helped him make and 100 emojis poster. So he was excited to take this box to school for Valentine’s day.

We used 12x12x12 boxes and just used scrapbook paper to cover the sides, and attached it with packing tape. Then I cut out the hearts and and mouths (half cirlces) from cardstock using the Cricut Explore Air 2. We just used a glue stick to attach those to the box. On the top of the box we cut out the half circle for the hole where the Valentine’s go in.
It turned out to be such a cute Valentine box, and my son loved it! I loved it because it was quick and easy, didn’t take a lot of time or supplies, so mom and son were happy!

If you liked this Heart Eyes Emoji Valentine Box, then stay tuned, I’ll be sharing the other two boxes with you in the next week.

As kids will do mine would forget to tell me they needed things for school til last minute. Having 3 kids close in age meant we had to make 3 of everything. Not so easy if cookies or cupcakes needed huh? Got so I would make cookies/cupcakes day before they got home from school when I wasn’t working. Always tried to keep supplies ahead for special days.
Your kids box is so cute, love it, what do you use for a box? I tried to keep boxes handy also for whatever they were going to make. At least in those days we lived close to stores for emergency supply runs.
Our youngest is 6 yrs, younger than 3 older kids so was while after before we had to do all this again and 3 older kids would help her with her projects. By then I was working full time so had less of it to spare. They taught her her abc’s and how to read, her #’s, by the time she went to kindergarten was very prepared. We had 2 girls and 2 boys 16 months apart. The girls are 10 yrs.apart.
Ah the fun of all those special day projects.Happy weekend
My kids are the same way. They forget to tell me until the day before. Anyway, we somehow seem to manage! 🙂 We actually just went to Walmart and picked up a box that was the right size.
