Sooo, I may have a problem with making pillow covers, especially for Fall! 🙂 Or maybe it isn’t really a problem at all…I just have a lot of cute pillows adorning my living room! One of my favorite things I love about creating throw pillow covers is just how quickly they come together, plus they are such an easy thing to add to decor. The covers take minimal storage, yet when you have a pillow form in them, they can really make a statement. In addition to this Welcome to our Patch Fall Throw Pillow, I also have my I love fall most of all pillow and my fall is here pillow. Todays project is a great addition to the pillows I already have!

Welcome to our Patch Fall Throw Pillow Supplies:
- Cricut Explore Air 2 or Cricut Maker
- Cricut EasyPress 2
- Cricut EasyPress Mat
- Glitter HTV in Copper
- EasyWeed Vegas Gold
- Weeding Tools
- Pillow Cover (I love the ones from IKEA)
- Cricut Design Space Cut File
Open the design in Cricut Design Space. If you have Cricut Access, then this design is included with that. The design is already sized to go on a 20×20 pillow. If you are using a different size, then size the design accordingly.
Click “Make it”, then make sure that Mirror is turned on.
If you’re using your Air 2, set your smart dial to custom and select your material from the computer. If you’re using the Maker, then select the material from the computer. Cut the design.
When the design is cut, weed it using the Weeding Tools.
Preheat your EasyPress 2 with the heat settings found in the EasyPress Heat Guide. Place the pillow cover on the EasyPress Mat and then place the larger part of the design on your pillow cover where you want it to be.
Apply the heat. Any of the EasyPress 2 machines will work for this project. The large one could probably press it all in one press for each layer. I used the 9 x 9 for this project because it was already out, and it worked great!
Peel the carrier sheet off of the first layer. Keep the carrier sheet.
Place the “to our” in the center where you want it. Place the larger carrier sheet back over the top of the entire design, then apply heat again.
Once the entire design is pressed, peel the carrier sheets off and discard. The pillow cover is finished. Now all that’s left to do is put a pillow form in it. I love keeping four or five pillow forms handy, and just change out the covers on them for each holiday or season. It works great! The pillow forms themselves stay out nearly all year long, but the covers can be put away with the seasonal decor.
And of course now we all need to find the perfect place for our new Welcome to our Patch Fall Throw Pillow. I tried mine in a couple of different places. Here in the living room.
And outside on the front porch. I really wish I could leave it out on the porch, but it gets pretty windy here, so I haven’t dared leave any out there. I need to figure out how to put some weight in that pillow cover, without making it look lumpy. I do adore how it looks on the porch though, and I think it is the perfect welcome for guests.
The glitter heat transfer vinyl is always so fun to create with. I wish the picture really did this fall throw pillow justice. It is so sparkly and fun! Plus, this kind of glitter crafting has no mess! Win/win situation!
This Fall Throw Pillow sitting next to my Fall porch sign + the pumpkins is nearly perfection, right? So fun!
I think I might just have to go put the fall throw pillow out on the porch and hope the wind doesn’t blow too much! It just looks too cute out there!
