Yesterday I shared 15 Thanksgiving Place Card Ideas with you, and today I’m sharing another one. Why are place/name cards so fun to put together? I don’t know why, but I like them. 🙂 These Thanksgiving Turkey Place Cards I’m sharing today, are a fun and easy one.

Supplies you’ll need:
- Candy Tubes
- Reese’s Pieces (or other small candies)
- Colored cardstock for the feathers
- Glue dots
- Mini tags
- Twine or string
- Cricut Maker or Cricut Explore Air 2
- Cricut Mat
Fill your candy tubes with the Reese’s Pieces. I put a few yellow at the bottom for the turkey feet, lots of brown, and then yellow and orange at the top for the turkey beak and waddle.
Using the Cricut and Design Space, I cut out these feathers. They are on the Southwest Cricut Cartridge, but in Design Space, you can purchase just the feather for $.99.
Stick a couple of glue dots onto the back of the candy tube.
Starting with the center feather, start putting them on, in a fan like pattern.
Keep adding them. Push them on good.
Once you have all of them on, make sure they are in the positions that you’d like them, and then push firmly over all of them together, to make sure they are stuck on there good.
This is what they should look like from the front.
Write the name on the mini tag, and use the twine/string to tie it onto the candy tube. You could also add some googly eyes. I thought about it, but couldn’t remember where mine were. 🙂
Now you have a yummy treat and place cards all ready for Thanksgiving!

This is SO pretty and creative! Those feathers are perfect, I might need to buy that image just to have in my arsenal. I really like the colors you chose for the feathers, as well. Adorable!

I love this project! Very cute place settings!! Just a question, do you need anything special to link old cricut cartridges to the new cricut explore? I haven’t ventured out to the explore yet because I’m afraid I won’t be able to use the old cartridge! haha. Thanks!

I’ve never linked one, but it doesn’t look like it would be too hard. Here is a link to a quick video showing how to do it. 🙂 http://youtu.be/JtACAK3uI3o
Those feathers are amazing! I’ve never wanted a Cricut so bad.
