I feel like my decorating style is always changing. It seems like every year when a holiday comes back around, I always have decorations that I don’t want to use anymore, so I end up making more decor. This year, at Christmas time, I made a new Christmas wreath (I didn’t get it shared, but it will be coming next Christmas.) using paper bows, and I loved it so much that I decided I wanted to try a different take on it and make a Valentine Paper Bow Wreath. So today, I’m sharing it with you. This is one of those projects that I sat down and started making the bows, didn’t take any pictures because I was just enjoying creating, and then part way through the project, I decided that I should share it and started taking pictures. 😉

Valentine Paper Bow Wreath Supplies:
- 1-2-3 Punch Board
- Banner Punch Board
- 10″ Wreath Form
- Ribbon
- 12 x 12 Valentine Paper
- Baker’s Twine
- Glue Gun
- Glittered Thickers
I started by making six XXL paper bows using the 1-2-3 Punch Board using 3 different Valentine Papers.
I wrapped my wreath with gray mesh ribbon and hot glued it on to secure it. Once I had the entire wreath wrapped in ribbon, I also added a hanger with the same ribbon.
Then I started hot gluing my bows to the wreath. Because I had two of each paper, I put the matching ones across from each other. So this pattern is at the top and bottom.
Once I had all the bows attached, I decided the wreath needed a little something more, so I made a mini banner. I used the banner punch board to make the banner pieces.
I strung it together with baker’s twine.
Then I added the thicker letters to it to spell LOVE. I hot glued the ends of the baker’s twine in place on the wreath.
I was so excited to take it and hang it on my front door. I I love the color of my front door and my wreath, but I didn’t realize that the gray ribbon I used was the same color as my door as I was creating it, so the gray kind of blends together. Oh well. 🙂
I really love what the mini banner adds to the wreath. I think it is the perfect finishing touch, don’t you?
I am excited to have this cute Valentine Paper Bow Wreath hanging on my door, even if the gray does blend in.
What do you have hanging on your front door for Valentine’s day?
