Now that we have a fun backyard to use for playing in and for entertaining, I’ve been wanting to pull out our fire pit and have a Backyard Hot Dog Roast Get Together. Well, because I like to craft and make things that are cute, I decided to put some fun decorations together for it, and I’m sharing them here with you today.

Backyard Hot Dog Roast Get Together Supplies:
- Cricut Design Space File
- Cricut Explore Air 2
- Cricut Pens
- Cardstock in a variety of colors
- Craft Foam
- Deep Cut Blade
- Vinyl
- Ribbon
- Adhesive
- Dimensional Adhesive
Once I had all my designs picked out in Cricut Design Space (have you tried the new one, it’s AMAZING!) I started cutting everything out.
On the invitation, I used the Draw & Cut feature on the Cricut Explore Air 2.
Then I cut out my Craft Foam. I made the quick change to the Deep Cut Blade. Changing the blade is quick and easy.
I attached my ketchup and mustard to the invitations with a little bit of adhesive on the back, and it was done.
The dimension that the craft foam adds is so fun!
Then I decided that I wanted to make a cute banner for the hot dog roast. So I found several images in Design Space and got them all cut out. I used a glue stick to adhere them all together.
I used dimensional adhesive to attache them to the banner shapes.
Once I had all the shapes attached to the banner shapes, I got my ribbon ready.
I strung all the banner pieces onto the ribbon, and I was almost ready for my Backyard Hot Dog Roast Get Together!
Here are what all the banner shapes look like when it was hanging.
Isn’t it such a fun banner. After I got it done, I even thought it would be cute just to have hanging in the house for summer decor.
The last thing I did was add a little bit of vinyl to these little buckets. I found these at Hobby Lobby and thought they’d be cute for holding silverware.
So I added a little vinyl decal to the front of each of them.
I got all of my cute decorations made and put up and I was ready!
I think one of my favorite things about this is that hot dogs are easy. A little get together like this doesn’t need to be complicated. You could even ask the guests to bring a side dish to share.
I added some 2-liters of soda to a bucket of ice to make the drinks be easy.
I also had this bucket on hand, and I think it makes the perfect holder for our roasting sticks! I used a galvanized tray for the plates and cups, and put the silverware in front of it.
I think it all came together so well!
And I’m pretty sure that my favorite part is this fun banner! It screams summer and it’s perfect for this Backyard Hot Dog Roast Get Together!
