Do you ever decorate with numbers? I’ve done it with some projects. I’ve shared a Christmas Door Hang with numbers, a Valentine project with numbers, and a couple of Halloween projects you can see here and here. I think numbers are fun to decorate with for the different holidays, so I thought putting these numbers on a frame would turn out cute. Today I’m sharing how you can make your own Whimsical Framed Christmas Decor for your own home.

Start out by tracing your numbers onto the back of the paper you’re using.

Cut your numbers out.

Paint your frame and the frame overlay. I did 3 or 4 coats of paint on both of these. Once your frame is dry, lightly distress the edges. Attach the frame overlay using wood glue.

Wrap the cardboard out of the frame with some coordinating wrapping paper.

Spread wood glue out on the front of your numbers. Use a paint brush to spread it evenly over the wood.

Place your paper on the top fo the glue, and smooth it out well. Once your numbers are done, you are ready to place them into the frame. Because I’m using mine on a table, I didn’t attach the numbers, they are just resting in place.

I love what the silver paint adds to the whole project. The shimmer is just perfect.

I added a simple little banner at the top of the frame, using the same paper and some baker’s twine. I really like what it adds to the project.

So love frame, #’s and little garland, great project, altho don’t have frame, #’s will make your little garland. Will also look into your paper Christmas garland. Got some wonderful Christmas papers at Michaels for $5 a pad so have plenty of holiday paper to work with.
Can’t seem to stop making things, is what I love to do this time of year and other holidays, especially paper crafts.
You have inspired me so much with your adorable projects. Altho I can’t do what I used to due to eye sight not the greatest these days and my hands getting worse I still yearn to craft when I see fun projects, is like second nature to me.
Happy creating to you and wishing you a very Merry Christmas.
