Some of my very favorite projects are the ones that are super quick and easy to do. You might remember the Airplane Accent Wall I shared a few months ago. I love the way that wall turned out and I’ve been trying to figure out what else I could add to my little guys bedroom. I still don’t have it completely figured out, but a few weeks ago, I decided I wanted to put something on his bedroom door. I ended up creating this Airplane Decal for Toddler Bedroom Door. I used the same airplane cut file that I had used for the accent wall, and then added the fun text.

Airplane Decal for Toddler Bedroom Door Supplies:
- Vinyl in color of choice
- Cricut Maker or Cricut Explore Air 2
- 12 x 24 Standard Grip Mat
- Vinyl Application Tool
- Weeding Tools
- Transfer Tape
- Design of Choice
I started out by uploading the airplane into Cricut Design Space. I found a set of planes on Etsy that I purchased for the accent wall. Once I had the airplane ready, I sized it to what would fit on the door. I selected this fun Phoenix Summer Font, and sized it to be what I needed.
I clicked on “Make It” in the top right corner and it brought me to the cutting mat screen.
Using my Cricut Maker, I cut it out.
Once cut, I weeded the outer edge, then the lettering. I applied transfer tape to the top of the airplane, peeled the backing off and started positioning it on the door where I wanted it. Then I measured from the tip of each wing to make sure that the plane was centered and I measured upward to make sure that airplane was level. Once it was in the right place, I used the vinyl application tool to smooth it out. Then I peeled off the transfer tape.
I can’t believe how doing this simple Airplane Decal for Toddler Bedroom Door made my little two year old boy light up! He is so excited to not only have his name on his door, but to have an airplane on his door!
I love that it totally coordinates with the airplanes that are already in his bedroom.
Now that I’ve done this, I want to figure out decals I can put up on the bedroom doors of my older boys.
So tell me, what kind of decal would you put on your little ones bedroom doors?
