I don’t know about you guys, but I know every year when it comes to picking out gifts for my husband, I struggle. I think this is for a couple of reasons. He has a lot of things, so there isn’t anything he needs necessarily, but I also think it is because a lot of the things that I would like to get for him are super expensive and not in the budget. One thing that he has been wanting for a few years now is a knife with a Damascus steel blade. I was so excited when I heard about AIM Blades. They have just the knives that my husband loves! So, I put together this Apron & Knife Men’s Gift Idea and I’m sharing it with you today!

Apron & Knife Men’s Gift Idea Supplies:
- Damascus Knife from AIM Blades
- Blank Apron
- Cricut Maker
- EasyWeed HTV (Chocolate, Red, Sun)
- Cricut EasyPress 2
- Cricut EasyPress Mat
- Cut File (For personal use only)
I knew I wanted to put this gift together and I’d been trying to think of something funny to put on an apron for my husband. I asked over on instagram stories for ideas. My cousin shared this one, and knew I immediately had to use it! This is something that my grandpa always said, and it made me laugh when I saw it. Anyway, I create the cut file for it and uploaded it into Design Space. Then I gathered my supplies.
After I sliced the design so I could use three different colors of HTV, I sent it to my machine to cut. Here is how to cut HTV with your Cricut.
I weeded all of the pieces and placed them where I wanted them on the apron. I preheated the EasyPress to the recommended heat settings, and applied slight pressure with the heat. I flipped it over and pressed it for 15 seconds on the back. Then I let it cool slightly, but not completely, before I peeled the carrier sheets off.
I’m so excited with how this apron turned out and I’m so excited to wrap this Apron & Knife up for Christmas! My husband loves to cook and loves a good knife. This Walnut Chef Knife with an 8″ blade is perfect! I love that he loves to cook, and I also want to make sure that he has a fun apron to wear while cooking. 🙂
I know my husband is going to love this knife with its beautiful Damascus steel blade.
I also love that it comes with this pretty leather blade cover, so I know it is covered and safe when it’s put away.
My husband is going to be seriously so excited when he sees this! Doesn’t that Damascus look amazing?!
Be sure to get your chef knife from AIM Blades ordered soon, so you can have it in time for Christmas and then get to work making your own apron to go with it!
